Healing in Layers: Inspired by Stone Formations

Overview
Rising from Hyderabad’s urban landscape, this hospital reinterprets the city’s ancient granite formations through a composition of stacked, offset volumes. The building’s form echoes the balance and solidity of natural rock clusters, creating deep recesses and terraces that serve as open, green spaces accessible from each floor.
These landscaped pockets bring light, air, and nature directly into patient areas, fostering calm and recovery. A perforated white façade wraps the structure, acting as a breathable skin that filters sunlight and enables cross-ventilation, reducing dependence on mechanical cooling.
The result is a healthcare environment that merges architecture, climate, and landscape — a serene, naturally ventilated vertical campus inspired by Hyderabad’s geological heritage and designed for healing through connection with nature.
